Tshepo Mahloele, Harith General Partners CEO

Tshepo Mahloele has been the Chief Executive Officerand Director at Harith General Partners since September 2007.

Mahloele has been the Head of Corporate Finance at the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) and the Isibaya Fund since 2003.

Mahloele serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund.

Mahloele’s previous experience includes portfolio management at the Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA).

Mahloele headed the Private Sector Investment arm of DBSA.

In addition, Mahloele was a representative of Telkom.

Mahloele has gained international exposure having worked for the CDC Group PLC, formerly Commonwealth Development Corporation as an Investment Executive in the South Africa office where he was involved in the capital funding for infrastructure projects.

Mahloele was also Managing Director and Owner of Solutions at Work.

Mahloele started his financial career Rand Merchant Bank.

Mahloele has over 15 years of transactional experience in project finance, private equity, investment banking and corporate finance.

He also has extensive experience in infrastructure finance, having been involved in the financing of the Maputo Toll Road.

Mahloele serves as Chairman of Aldwych Holding Limited and Essar Kenya Telecoms Limited.

He serves as the Deputy Chairman of Circle Capital Ventures.

Mahloele is a Board Member of NewGX Partnership/CIVH.

Mahloele serves as a Director of Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund, Aldwych International Ltd and Non-Executive Director of Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concession.

Mahloele served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Capitec Bank Holdings and its subsidiary Capitec Bank from 1 April 2007 to 18 January 2011.

Mahloele served as a Non-Executive Director of Vodacom Group until September 2005.

Mahloele served as a Director of Telkom SA from November 2004 to January 2008.

Mahloele is winner of South Africa’s Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) Financier of the Year Award for both 2003 and 2004.

Mahloele completed various programmes and certificate courses in Finance and Venture Capital and also completed the Harvard AMP programme.

Mahloele holds a Bachelor of Procurationis Degree from Rhodes University.
