Tsega Gebreyes, Satya Capital Managing Partner

Tsega Gebreyes is a Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner at Satya Capital.

Gebreyes serves as a Senior Advisor to Celtel International, now Zain Africa.

Gebreyes is also the Founding Partner of Satya Capital Limited.

Gebreyes served as the Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer of Bharti Airtel Africa.

Gebreyes served as the Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer at Zain Africa and was responsible for attracting capital for investments in Africa and was a driving force behind the growth of the business through multi-country expansion across Africa.

Gebreyes also led the competitive merger and acquisition process. She served as an Executive at Citigroup.

Gebreyes also served at McKinsey & Company, as a Member of the Executive Management team and had responsibility for driving its acquisition and expansion into new markets and business segments.

Gebreyes was Investment Professional at Zephyr Management.

Gebreyes was Founding Partner of New Africa Opportunity Fund, now Zeypher Opportunity Fund.

Gebreyes worked at Celtel International, now Airtel, where she played a key role in the growth of the business through expansion across the continent and led a merger and acquisition process that culminated in the sale of the company.

Gebreyes is the Founding Director of Satya Capital Limited.

Gebreyes has been an Independent Director at SES, since April 2013.

She serves as a Director of Hygeia Nigeria Limited.

She served as a Director of Zain since joining it in 1999.

Gebreyes has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Gebreyes has a double major in Economics and International Studies from Rhodes College.
