Steve Akinboro, Executive Vice President of Dominos

Steve Akinboro, born and raised in Nigeria, is the executive vice president of Team USA Dominos Pizza.

Akinboro is responsible for overseeing the leadership, operations, management and profitability of the 387 domestic company-owned stores for Domino’s Pizza, the world’s second largest pizza company.

Akinboro joined Domino’s as vice president of operations of the west region in 2009, where he led franchise owners to sales, store growth and profitability successes.

During his term in the region, same store sales increased just under 20% and internal operations scores improved by more than 50%.

Akinboro went to work for Pepsi after high school.

Akinboro worked to raise enough money to attend the Chartered Institute for Marketing and received a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from London South Bank University, both in the UK.

In 1985, while attending university, Akinboro worked as a crew member at McDonalds.

Upon graduation, Akinboro was a business consultant then operations manager for McDonald’s in South Africa before being promoted to operations project manager at McDonald’s world headquarters.

Akinboro joined Dominos Pizza in 2009.

Akinboro was director of operations for the Southern California Region, one of McDonalds largest and most important markets.
