Nothando Ndebele, Renaissance Capital Head of African Research

Nothando Ndebele is Renaissance Capital’s Head of African Research.

She has extensive experience in financial services, with a strong focus on investment research, analysis, valuation and portfolio management.

Ndebele’s in-depth knowledge of the African market has been gained through senior roles at organisations including Afena Capital, formerly known as Renaissance Specialist Fund Managers, which she jointly founded and attained assets under management of $350mn within three years.

She acted as Head of Research and a portfolio manager focusing on financial and industrial stocks in South Africa. She has also held positions at Investec Asset Managers (Cape Town), Goldman Sachs (London) and Deutsche Securities (Johannesburg).

Ndebele has degrees from Harvard University and Oxford University, an MBA from Said Business School and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She is widely published on matters relating to Sub-Saharan Africa
